about the film
Dive into the chaotic world of Washington politics. Following a congressman's chief of staff, this exciting documentary takes you behind closed doors into some of the most intriguing parts of the D.C. political scene. But all of the nation's business is nothing compared to the chief of staff's most important job: raising his one-year-old son.Conceived by young director Ryan Frost, this compelling documentary is brought to you by a team of talented and passionate filmmakers. Having spent more than a year on Capitol Hill as an intern and congressional aide before turning to filmmaking, Frost envisioned a film that would explore the strain of working in D.C. politics and raising a family. In early 2006, Frost with fellow producers Jonathan Lavey and Todd Stevenson, first began planning for the ambitious project.
In April 2006, the filmmakers traveled to Washington D.C. to chronicle the life of Adam Magary, Chief of Staff to U.S. Representative Donald A. Manzullo. With a wife and one-year-old son at home, Magary must carefully divide his time between his work and family. Frost's experience on Capitol Hill opened many doors for the documentary crew and they captured a number of amazing, exclusive moments with their unprecedented access into some of the nation's most important offices and corridors.
More exciting though, is the intriguing story itself. It's truly an inspiration to us all, to see Adam Magary's endeavor to do what's right for his family and his nation in one of this country's most difficult careers. New Renaissance Pictures is proud to distribute this captivating documentary, to be released in the fall of 2006.
